Letter from the Director

Dear Eagle Families,

The buzz and excitement surrounding our new ALA-Gilbert North K-12 campus continues to grow. I am so excited and honored to be your Director at the K-6 campus. The teachers and staff of ALA-Gilbert North are eager to provide our new students with the best educational experience possible in a moral and wholesome environment.

At ALA, we (staff, students, and families) distinguish ourselves by holding high expectations for student achievement, and by living and breathing the RAISE values (Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Service, Excellence). These values are our way of being. As a community stakeholder dedicated to student achievement and the RAISE values, whether you are a student, parent, or staff member, you will be an integral part of developing ALA-Gilbert North into the greatest school in the country!

A little bit about me...I come to you as an experienced teacher and administrator. Most recently, I served as Director of ALA's Ironwood Elementary campus from 2015-2017. Previously, I held the position of Assistant Director at ALA’s Gilbert campus from 2013-2014. My experience in education began in 2007 as an elementary school teacher. I hold a Master's Degree in Education from Plymouth State University and Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of California, Davis. I moved to Arizona from California over 10 years ago with my husband, Charles. We have two sons: Chaz (10) and Liam (5). I love reading, ATV riding, tap dancing, traveling, and race cars.

I am thrilled for the opportunity to be a part of the opening of this beautiful new campus. I look forward to meeting you and working with you and your children.

Respectfully,

Cristina Schubert
