Welcome to our Ironwood 7-12 Campus

Hello, and welcome to the Ironwood 7-12 campus of American Leadership Academy. We are proud to offer an exceptional educational experience to students in the Queen Creek, San Tan Valley and Florence area. The ALA experience includes outstanding academics, a wide variety of extracurricular activities, state-level competitive athletics, and direct leadership instruction and practice, all in a moral and wholesome environment that families can feel good about. MEET OUR DIRECTOR

Mr. Raymond Turley is the Director of the American Leadership Academy – Ironwood 7–12 campus. He has 34 years in education with 20 of those years being a science teacher in the Mesa School District. He has a wide range of experience from the classroom to district positions. Prior to joining ALA, for 11 years he was an Associate Director for an online program.

Mr. Turley is a native to Arizona, having been born and raised in Prescott. He has an Associate’s degree in Graphic Design from Yavapai College, a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education in Science, and a Master’s degree in Secondary Curriculum from Arizona State University.

Coaching has been a large portion of Mr. Turley’s life. While with Mesa Schools, he coached Track and Volleyball. Until recently he also coached club volleyball teams in the area. Mr. Turley is a proud recipient of the Silver Beaver award from the BSA for his work with the Explorer program. He and his wife of 28 years have four children: Mitch (28), Hayden (26), McKenna (22), and Gavin (19).
