Weekly Message from Mr. Brown
Carter Livingood is a first grader at our campus with Type I Diabetes. On April 29 is the JDRF One Walk. Their goal is to create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D). We would love to have staff and family from ALA to support the Livingood family and Carter as we walk to raise awareness. We hope to see you there!
When you participate in your local JDRF One Walk, the money you raise supports life-changing breakthroughs that gives hope to everyone impacted by this disease. And, you’ll have a great time doing it! That’s because you’ll walk with a committed community that is passionate about doing whatever it takes to help turn Type One into Type None.

Meet Our Campus Administration, Mr. Brown and Mrs. Reski
|Hello American Leadership Academy! My name is Rob Brown. I am the director of the ALA-Gilbert Campus. I first came to this campus in the spring of 2012 from Utah, and it has been an honor to serve here. My wife, Lynette, and I have been married for 21 years and we have five children. Wyatt (20), Madison (16), Rylee (12), and our twins, Hayden (8) and Tayt (8). We love having our kids attend ALA! I received a bachelors from Idaho State University and master’s degree from Utah State University. While attending school my wife and I opened our own construction company and enjoyed several years building homes, but I always had a dream to teach. So 17 years ago we left construction and I have been involved in teaching and administration ever since.|
|Mrs. Reski is a true Arizona native, raised in Fountain Hills, Arizona. She is married to her wonderful husband, Mark, for a little over a year. Mrs. Reski went to The University of Arizona, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She has taught a range of grades in her 6 years of teaching, which included Kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 5th grade. Mrs. Reski has worked with ALA for 4 years, opening up both San Tan campus and Queen Creek campus. Not only as she taught 5th grade at ALA, but created the 5th grade curriculum map for two years. Mrs. Reski has been the lead teacher in her grade level, leadership day, Lighthouse, and SST. She had a great year at the Gilbert Campus as the Assistant Director and inspiring great leaders.|

Our Innovative Curriculum
In grades K-8, the curriculum is structured in the Core Knowledge Sequence, which outlines the knowledge to be taught at each grade level. The curriculum is structured in a coherent, cumulative and content specific way, so students build knowledge in language arts, math, science, history, geography, and fine arts. In grades 9-12, the curriculum builds on the foundation built in the younger grades and is intended to provide students with a rich, traditional high school experience.
