About American Leadership Academy

Our charter schools were designed with a vision to provide the best educational experience to as many students as possible in a moral and wholesome environment. Are you exploring local schools or seeking a charter school K-6 or charter junior high and high school for your child? For the 2016 – 2017 school year, we will have 8 campus locations in the state of Arizona. Our campuses are located in Gilbert, Mesa, San Tan Valley, Queen Creek and Anthem South (Florence).

 Our Vision:  Our Mission:
Learn. Lead.                   Change the World! To provide the best educational experience to as many students as possible in a moral and wholesome environment.

Our Innovative Curriculum

In grades K-8, the curriculum is structured in the Core Knowledge Sequence, which outlines the knowledge to be taught at each grade level. The curriculum is structured in a coherent, cumulative and content specific way, so students build knowledge in language arts, math, science, history, geography, and fine arts. In grades 9-12, the curriculum builds on the foundation built in the younger grades and is intended to provide students with a rich, traditional high school experience. If you are interested in learning more about the benefits of a charter school K-6 or charter high school for your child, additional information about our charter schools in Gilbert, Mesa, San Tan Valley, Queen Creek and Anthem South, Arizona (AZ) can be found on our website. Please browse our website to read about our leadership program, curriculum, and school culture. We accept new student registrations at our charter schools or you can complete the application on our website.

Our high school offers an array of extra-curricular activities. Check out our Athletics and Fine Arts pages to see what’s going on now on the Athletics and Fine Arts pages.

A Message from Your Director

Hello to the American Leadership Academy family, My name is Tommy Roberts and I am honored to be the Executive Director at the Queen Creek Junior/Senior High School campus. I retired from the Air Force in August 2014 after serving for 22 years in Wyoming, Colorado, California, Alabama, and Washington DC. I had a wonderful time in the Air Force and was blessed with numerous educational and leadership experiences. In short, serving my country was an incredible honor, and I am very thankful for the many opportunities it allowed my family and I.

My wife, Marci, and I have been married for 22 years and we have two sons. Jake (age 20) is a junior at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Ryan (age 17) is a junior here at ALA. Our family is excited to be a part of what’s taking place here, and feel blessed to be part of the ALA family. Quite frankly, I had no idea what I planned to do once I retired from the Air Force. What I did know was that I wanted to make a difference and I wanted to do something “different.” As it turned out, multiple conversations with Mr. Glenn Way (ALA’s President) and Mr. Brent McArthur (ALA’s CEO) sold me on ALA. I was an instant believer in ALA’s values, vision and mission, and I wanted to make a difference by educating children and developing leaders. As a result, when offered this opportunity, my family and I packed up our things in Colorado and moved to this beautiful community. It was an easy decision, and every day we’ve been here has validated that decision time and time again. It is truly humbling to be a part of an institution with the values of ALA, and I promise my absolute best in serving the families of ALA and providing that moral and wholesome environment we all want for our children.
