College Ready Courses
American Leadership Academy schools provide numerous opportunities for students to earn college credit, including AP courses, dual enrollment, concurrent enrollment, Certificates and Associate Degrees, while still in high school. These courses are built to accelerate learning and enrich understanding. See what college ready courses ALA has to offer.

Advanced Placement (AP) Courses
Advanced Placement (AP) courses follow the College Board course of study, designed to prepare students for a course-specific AP exam. A score of 3 or better on an AP exam may allow the student to earn credit at the post secondary school of choice or to earn placement in a higher level course at the institution. However, students are responsible for researching the accepted credits and/or placement with the college institution for which they are applying.

Honors Courses
All students are eligible to enroll in honors courses with teacher and parent approval. All honors placement is subject to administrative approval. Honors courses receive a weighted grade based on their states grading policy.
NOTE: For more information about Honors & Advanced Placement (AP) Courses offered at American Leadership Academy checkout the course catalog.

Dual Enrollment Courses
Dual enrollment courses that are taken at the school where the student is enrolled or at a postsecondary instituion are those courses for which the student has been granted permission by his or her home school and approved by the district to earn both high school credit and college credit for those particular courses. One quality point is added to the transcript weighting for dual enrollment courses that are applicable to baccalaureate degrees or to associate degrees offered by accredited institutions. Students can contact their academic advisor for more information.

Career & Technical Education Programs
Career & Technical Education Programs provide students with the advanced skills and training needed to thrive in today’s competitive job market. CTE classes combine academic, career and technical instruction with hands-on learning provided by certified teachers and experienced professionals enhancing the future of every student. For more information, please contact your Student Services Advisor. To obtain CTE certification, students must complete all semesters of a program and pass the associated state exam.
