Summer Enrichment Programs vary in length by department and topic. Some are one-day workshops while others are up to 4 weeks long. The majority run between 3-10 days. Within those days, programs may range from a few hours long to a full day. Residential programs, where students stay on campus overnight, are also available.

Arizona State University- Joaquin Bustoz Math-Science Honors Program (STEM Recommended)
The Joaquin Bustoz Math-Science Honors Program is an intense academic program that provides motivated students an outstanding opportunity to begin university mathematics and science studies before graduating high school. The program is designed to provide a successful university experience for students who are underrepresented in the mathematics and science fields and to enhance their prospects for future academic success.

KEYS High School Summer Internship Program
KEYS interns enroll, with no tuition costs, in the University of Arizona during their summer break for a week of intensive laboratory and science literacy training, followed by six weeks in the laboratory of a renowned UA researcher.

Young Volunteer Summer Program at the Mayo Clinic
Through the Young Volunteer Summer Program at Mayo Clinic’s campus in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, high school students between the ages of 15 and 18 have opportunities to volunteer in both clinic (outpatient) and hospital settings. The program runs two months, June through July.

Honors Summer Academy- University of Arizona
HSA is open to all high school students who complete their junior or senior year by June 2015. We are looking for motivated students who demonstrate outstanding academic ability. A strong academic background is critical to success in HSA as students are taking university classes. A minimum cumulative unweighted grade point average of 3.7 is desired (A= 4.0); however, additional information such as standardized test scores, letters of recommendation, and your personal statement will also be considered.

University of Arizona Med Start-Tuscon
Med-Start is a summer academic enrichment program for any 11th grade Arizona high school student interested in a health career. Students participate in the program during the summer between their junior and senior years.

Minority Introduction to Engineering and Science (MITES) is a rigorous six-week residential academic enrichment program for promising high school seniors – many of whom come from underrepresented or underserved communities – who have a strong academic record and are interested in studying and exploring careers in science and engineering.

University of Arizona Med Start- Phoenix
Each of the three Med-Start Phoenix summer sessions include hands-on activities, field trips, community service projects, simulation and related lab experiences, culminating projects and lectures from medical students, faculty and community members. The unique sessions will highlight three healthcare themes: Scientific Research, Arizona’s Healthcare Needs and the Healthcare Team.
