All About School and ME!
Jasey Capron

Our very first week of preschool will be focused on All About School and Me!  We will be learning all about our classroom and how we fit into it.  All of the rules and procedures will be taught this week.  We will explore each center.

These centers are:

Dramatic Play - Here we focus on growing the imagination and peer play.  Children also act out real-world situation in a safe and loving environment, making it easier to problem solve later on in real life.

Blocks - This center is important because it builds spatial awareness, enhances cause and effect as well as mathematical and science based questions and explorations.

Library - Explore the world of books!  Here they will learn how to hold and care for books.  They will develop a life-long love of reading!

Sensory - Hands on experiences with everyday objects in a safe and regulated space.

Art - Using life experiences to build

Bio
Lee Anne Kallen

Welcome,  I am so happy to be your child's 2nd Grade teacher!  This is my 12th year teaching and my 2nd year at ALA.  I am a wife and mother of 4 amazing boys.  I know that every child is different and that they all learn in their own way at their own time.  It is my honor to be a part of each child's journey.  I guarantee that your child will love to come to school because in my class, we become a family and we make learning fun!  I will push your child far beyond what they think they can do.  It will be a tremendous year of growth.  I look forward to partnering with you this upcoming year.

I graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a BA in Speech Communications (Interpersonal/Oraganizational Communication).  I then earned my Teaching Credential from Rio Salado.  I have worked in education and leadership development for over 30 years. My dream was to do motivational speaking to schools across the country.  I am so lucky because I have a captive audience everyday to talk about the RAISE values and help the students learn to be better citizens.

Rainbows and hot air balloons fascinate me!

About Me!

Hello! My name is Cheryl Ramirez and I am very excited for the 2018-2019 school year here at ALA Gilbert South Elementary.  This school year will be my sixth year teaching, and my fourth with American Leadership Academy.  I have previously taught both 5th and 3rd grades.

I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA with my parents and younger sister. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree from Sacramento State in 2011, and finished my Master's in Education at National University in 2014. I moved to Arizona five years ago because the job market for teachers in California was very saturated, and I was ready for a new adventure.  Lucky for me I ended up meeting my now husband at the end of 2014.  We got married in June of 2017 and we are now expecting our first child around Thanksgiving.  Don't worry, I have found the best long term sub while I am on maternity leave, and there isn't

anybody else that I would trust to take my class! If you have questions, please feel free to ask.  Her name is Mrs. Gibbons and she will be at Meet the Teacher on August 2nd.

Some of my favorite things:

All About Ms. Jasey

Thank you for visiting!  Here are some fun facts about me!

My very favorite thing about me is my hubby!  We were just married last December.  We have 9 kids all together ranging from 20 to 5 years old.  We love to spend time outside playing with the kids and inside watching movies, Netflix and eating yummy food.

I have a degree in Early Childhood and have spent the last 7 years working as a Pre-k teacher at a private preschool.  Last year I taught Kindergarten at the very awesome Gilbert South Elementary, and loved every bit, but I love preschool age and I can't wait to go back!  They are truly my passion!

Some fun facts about me are:

*I love chickens! I used to have 50 of them! One day I will own every single breed of chicken!

*I love to read!  I will spend every spare minute I can reading if I have a good book.

*Monsoon Season is my favorite Season!

*I am an Arizona Native!

I can't wait to meet all my preschoolers!  It is going to be an AWESOME YEAR!
