Title I

At American Leadership Academy, we want every single student to have the best possible educational opportunities. Title 1 funding provides support for students, parents, and staff that is directly linked to a quality education. ALA works to make sure these funds are being used to meet the real-life needs of our individual students.

What is Title 1?

TItle 1 provides financial support to educational institutions with qualifying numbers (or percentages) of children from low income families, to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. See the U.S. Department of Education website for more information.

What do you do with Title 1 funding?

At American Leadership Academy, we have used these funds to strengthen our educational experience: hiring more highly-qualified teachers and staff; providing after-school and summer-school remediation; instituting STEM-based programs that enhance learning in science, technology, engineering, and math; and purchasing mobile computer labs and adaptive software for our Title 1 Schoolwide Sites.

How are you funded?

Every year, each family at our school completes a confidential ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act) eligibility form. These forms determine Title 1 eligibility and funds for the coming school year.

Do you have a free/reduced lunch program?

At this time, ALA does not participate in the free and reduced lunch program.

Come and see how our mission—to provide the best possible education to as many students as possible in a moral and wholesome environment—is enriched by our Title 1 funding. We’d love to answer any questions you might have. Schedule a campus tour today!
