About Us
American Leadership Academy, Applied Technologies Pre-K & 7-12
Welcome to American Leadership Academy Applied Technologies Pre-K & 7-12, where students have the unique opportunity to learn new skills while attending high school. As one of the premier Arizona trade schools, we offer tuition-free education that treats hands‑on learning as more than an elective—it’s the backbone of our program.
Whether your teenager dreams of coding smart devices or troubleshooting diesel engines, our instructors pair industry‑grade tools with real‑world projects so every graduate leaves with both a diploma and a head start on a career in various applied technology fields.
Hands-On Training and Real-World Experience
In our ALA Applied Tech Academies, students don’t just read about their future careers—they step into them. Engine diagnostics happen under the hood, not on a slideshow. Future EMTs practice stabilizing splints on class‑mates who are laughing one minute and performing a textbook “rescue” the next. Culinary students perfect knife skills while the scent of fresh‑baked focaccia drifts through the hall.
Our program lineup covers almost anything a hands‑on learner can imagine: aviation mechanics, auto maintenance, health care pathways, information technology, cosmetology, culinary arts, HVAC, veterinary science, emergency medical services, and more. Each academy pairs classroom fundamentals with real projects—restoring a vintage engine, assisting at a community health fair, or coding a basic app—to ensure graduates leave with a résumé that already tells a story.
Group projects mirror the teamwork employers expect, and industry‑grade equipment means students get comfortable with the very tools they’ll use on the job. Whether their next stop is college, an apprenticeship, or straight into the workforce, our learners arrive prepared, confident, and already a step ahead.

Our Mission: In support of the family, provide the best educational experience to as many students as possible in a moral and wholesome environment.
Glenn Way, Founder of American Leadership Academy

Glenn Way founded American Leadership Academy (ALA) with the vision of providing an exceptional K-12 educational experience for his family and community. Motivated by a desire to protect the family unit and help the youth of America understand who they are meant to be, he envisioned a school that fosters personal growth and self-expression in a moral and wholesome environment inclusive of a values-based curriculum. Glenn believes that every child is created to do something extraordinary, and education should be the platform that helps them discover their best selves.
Driven by concerns about the current state of education, Glenn sought to reform the system from the inside out. He wanted to disrupt traditional education by raising the bar and focusing not just on academic excellence but also on developing students into future leaders who value being great spouses and parents by providing them with the opportunity to grow emotionally and academically.
“We want our kids to learn why they were created—not just to become the best astronauts, plumbers, or mathematicians, but to become the best spouses, parents, citizens, and leaders,” says Glenn Way.
