What Is Automotive?
For many of us, cars are an essential part of daily life. In our auto technology program, students learn how automotive technicians maintain these complex machines. The average driver is involved in three to four fender benders in their lifetime. That’s bad news for drivers, but good news for anyone considering a career in the collision repair industry.
What Will I Be Doing?
Automotive service technicians are in high demand and maintain the millions of cars and trucks on the highway.
How To Know if Automotive Is for Me?
- Do you love cars?
- Are you detail-oriented and like working with your hands?
- Do you like to organize things and solve problems?
SkillsUSA offers the opportunity for students to participate in competitions to showcase the skills they've learned. The collision repair and auto tech program gives the students a chance to compete at the local, state, and national levels.
