Hands-On Highlights
- Build & Tune: Campers assembled 1/10-scale RC trucks from boxed kits supplied by Superstition Hobbies, learning the fundamentals of drivetrains, gearing, and routine maintenance.
- Customize: Each student painted a one-of-a-kind body shell, practicing masking, color fades, and clear-coating techniques.
- Race Day: Friday’s obstacle-course showdown gave families a front-row seat as students put their new skills—and fresh paint jobs—to the test.
“Seeing him get excited to show off his creativity customizing the kit and then sending it speeding across the obstacle course was the highlight of the week!” — Monica Garzon, camp parent
Applied Technologies RC Summer Camp Race Week Two
"My son had a wonderful time at Applied Tech RC Summer Camp. He learned a lot about what makes a car run, how to maintain a vehicle and how to put an RC car together. Being able to race his car at the end of the camp was his favorite part of all. Seeing him get excited to show off his creativity customizing the kit and then sending it speeding across the obstacle course was the highlight of the week! I was happy to see him excited to learn something new while getting to put something together with his new knowledge. Thank you to Mr. Lambson, his team, and the sponsors for putting this camp together. We look forward to enrolling again next year!

Field-Trip Wednesdays
Every session featured a mid-week industry visit, giving students a behind-the-scenes look at automotive service and motorsports careers.
Daily Fuel & Take-Home Gear
A provided lunch, and an official camp T-shirt kept energy high. Campers left with their fully built RC truck and the confidence that comes from turning wrenches—and ideas—into motion.
Thank-You Partners
