What Is Construction Technologies?
The construction industry is booming in Arizona but is experiencing a shortage of workers. Construction workers help build the house you live in, the school you attend, the buildings where people work, and the roads you drive on. Most homes, buildings, and structures are built by construction workers, from designing the blueprints to putting up the frame of a house or building, to installing the plumbing, electrical, heating, and air conditioning.
What Will I Be Doing?
Carpenters put up the framework of the building, create cabinets and build out the framing for windows and doors. Skilled workers like electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians each contribute to the finishing details to make the home or building ready to move into. Construction managers plan, coordinate, budget, and supervise construction projects from start to finish. Construction managers may have a main office but spend most of their time in a field office onsite, where they monitor projects and make decisions about construction activities.
