Culinary Students Gain Hands-On Experience with Chef Gabe Gardner

Students in Culinary I and II had the unique opportunity to learn from Chef Gabe Gardner, Director of Food Programs at Local First Arizona. During his visit, Chef Gabe took on a Mystery Basket Cooking Challenge, crafting a flavorful dish from surprise ingredients selected by students. As he cooked, he shared his professional journey and offered valuable industry insights.

Beyond the kitchen, Chef Gabe highlighted the importance of supporting small businesses, promoting Arizona’s rich agricultural landscape, and strengthening local food systems. His passion for food, sustainability, and community impact left a lasting impression on our students.
