What is a Charter School?
Charter schools are educational institutions funded by public money but function with increased flexibility and independence from standard public schools. Created through a charter—a performance agreement that details the school's mission, educational programs, objectives, and methods of assessment—they aim to foster innovation and provide a variety of educational options to meet the unique needs of their communities.
