What is a Charter School?
Charter schools are publicly funded educational establishments that enjoy greater flexibility and autonomy compared to conventional public schools. Founded through a charter—a performance contract that outlines the school's mission, programs, goals, and assessment strategies—they aim to foster innovation and provide diverse educational opportunities suited to their communities' unique needs.

Meet the Director
Jen Brown
Mrs. Brown holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and a Master's Degree in Counseling. She has been inspiring youth and working within the education field for more than 23 years. She has been serving ALA families for the past 10 years. Most recently, she served as the Assistant Director at ALA Gilbert South Elementary and carried a significant role in the success of the campus since the doors opened in the Fall of 2017.
Before that, she was a teacher at ALA Queen Creek Elementary. Before joining the ALA Family, she served as Dean of Students, Director of Athletics, Vice Principal, Teacher, and Milieu Manager at various charter and private schools. She believes that dreams are answers to questions you have not figured out how to ask! Her background and experiences have guided her to see life through the eyes of the children she works with, the whole child, academically and emotionally. They are the reason we do what we do, and they are the reason we must be at our best every day! She feels a sense of pride and privilege to serve the students and their families. GO PATRIOTS!
