Our School
American Leadership Academy, Ironwood Pre-K-6
Welcome to American Leadership Academy Ironwood Pre-K-6, the Home of the Warriors. Nestled in the vibrant community of Queen Creek, ALA Ironwood is dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience for young learners from Florence, San Tan Valley, and Queen Creek areas.
Our Commitment
At ALA Ironwood Pre-K-6, we pride ourselves on fostering a kind and supportive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and personally. Guided by our R.A.I.S.E. values—Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Service, and Excellence—we empower our scholars to become confident leaders. Our commitment to "sprinkling kindness" ensures that our students not only excel academically but also develop strong moral character.
Comprehensive Preschool and K-6 Programs
ALA Ironwood Pre-K-6 offers a robust preschool and elementary program designed to lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Our Little Leaders program serves children aged 3-5, providing their first pre-K experience in a nurturing environment. Here, students learn their numbers and letters, and begin to apply them to basic math, reading, and writing concepts. The curriculum also focuses on enhancing social, sensory, and motor skills, ensuring a well-rounded development.
In our pre-K program, ALA Ironwood prepares students for kindergarten by modeling American Leadership Academy's K-12 Core Knowledge Sequence and aligning lessons with Arizona Early Learning Standards. This prepares students for success in language, literacy, social development, communication, and physical development from the very beginning.
Outstanding Academics and Achievements
As one of the largest K-6 campuses in the district, ALA Ironwood K-6 is recognized as one of the top-performing schools in the area regarding our academics. We proudly earned the title of #1 Scholastic Summer Reading Champions in the state of Arizona. We firmly believe that a strong foundation in literacy is key to student success, which is why we encourage our students to engage in nightly reading through our 20-20 Reading Program and exciting bike raffles. Additionally, we emphasize the practice of math facts to help students achieve automaticity, laying the groundwork for advanced mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Safe and Nurturing Environment
Creating a safe and nurturing environment is at the heart of ALA Ironwood. We have built a community where students feel secure, valued, and respected, allowing them to grow in all aspects. Our dedicated educators and staff are passionate about fostering a love for learning and ensuring that every student feels supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Achievements and Community Love
Our dedication to excellence is reflected in the testimonials from our parents and the broader community, who share vibrant stories of growth, achievement, and the strong bonds formed within our school. ALA Ironwood Pre-K-6 is proud to be an 'A rated' school, recognized for our high performance and commitment to student success.

Our Mission:In support of the family, to provide the best educational experience to as many students as possible in a moral and wholesome environment.
Glenn Way, Founder of American Leadership Academy
Leading a charge for meaningful school reform, Glenn Way founded American Leadership Academy to equip young people with both knowledge and principles. He believes that a strong education must include moral guidelines that protect the family dynamic and cultivate resilience in students. Every child, he insists, has unique gifts waiting to be discovered.
Through ALA, Glenn fosters an environment where academic pursuits coexist with character-building experiences, instilling in students a commitment to leading with heart and purpose.
We want our kids to learn why they were created—not just to become the best astronauts, plumbers, or mathematicians, but to become the best spouses, parents, citizens, and leaders. - Glenn Way, ALA Founder
