First Graders Show the Power of Service

First Graders Show the Power of Service

This November, ALA Ironwood Elementary’s first graders embraced the value of Service by collecting and donating food to the United Food Bank. Their incredible efforts filled an entire pallet of food, which will support those in need within the community.

While delivering their donations, students learned about the individuals who would benefit from their contributions, watched trucks and forklifts in action, and experienced the joy of giving back.

These young learners showed that even at just 6 years old, they can make a big difference. Thank you to our first graders for their inspiring example of kindness and community service!
