Get ready to celebrate the joy and power of reading during Read Across America Week, starting on March 2nd—Dr. Seuss’ birthday! This exciting week is all about inspiring a love for reading, sparking imaginations, and shaping young minds through creative activities and themed dress-up days.

Event Details: Read Across America Week (March 3rd–7th)

  • Monday – Make a Bookmark Day:
    Create your very own bookmark and personalize your reading experience.

  • Tuesday – Book Buddies:
    Pair up with a friend from another class and enjoy reading a book together.

  • Wednesday – Thing One and Thing Two Day:
    Find a friend and dress alike as the playful duo from Dr. Seuss. (Modesty rules apply.)

  • Thursday – Fox in Socks Day:
    Show off your craziest socks while wearing your ALA uniform.

  • Friday – Favorite Book Character Day:
    Dress as your favorite book character and celebrate the characters that inspire you. (Modesty rules apply.)
