What is a Charter School?

A charter school is a publicly funded educational institution that operates with more autonomy and flexibility than traditional public schools. Founded through a charter—a performance agreement that outlines the school's mission, programs, objectives, and methods of assessment—charter schools aim to foster innovation and provide diverse educational options tailored to the unique needs of their communities.

Jenny taught Critical Reading at Chandler Gilbert Community College, and was a professor and supervisor in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at ASU where she worked with new teachers and observed them during their student teaching experiences.
