6th Grade ER Math Clinic: Future Doctors in Action!

Mrs. Stickel’s 6th grade classroom was transformed into an Emergency Room—complete with surgical gowns, caps, masks, gloves, and ALAMC ID badges! Our “doctors” treated a variety of “injuries” by solving real-world math problems that covered all 6th grade standards. Armed with syringe-style pens to chart each patient’s progress, students dove into addition, fractions, ratios, and more—all while practicing vital teamwork and problem-solving skills. At the end of the day, every young physician took home a “patient” to care for, extending their learning (and fun!) beyond the hospital doors.
