Fine Arts at ALA Queen Creek
Fine Arts at American Leadership Academy Queen Creek give students opportunities to create, perform, collaborate, and develop skills that take time and practice to build.
The current programs includes visual art, band, choir, dance, orchestra, photography, and theatre, with beginning, intermediate, and advanced opportunities across several disciplines. Queen Creek's connection with the performing arts also goes back to the school's early years. ALA opened a performing arts center at the Queen Creek 7–12 campus during the 2013–2014 school year.
A Pathway to Success
Arts, Character, and Graduation
Fine Arts are an active part of a student’s high school graduation plan. ALA Queen Creek's current graduation requirements include one credit in CTE/Fine Arts for all diploma pathways.
Beyond the transcript, the arts provide a natural environment for students to put ALA's R.A.I.S.E. values into action. Respecting the ensemble, taking care of equipment, accepting corrections, and helping a production succeed behind the scenes teaches students that excellence usually looks like practice before it looks like talent.

The performance may be the visible part, but most of the learning happens before anyone ever sees it. Fine Arts give students hands-on practice with skills that extend well beyond a single concert or production:

Creative work is rarely perfect the first time. That is exactly the point. Students rehearse, revise, adjust, and try again. Eventually, something that was difficult becomes something they confidently know how to do.
Meet Our Fine Arts Director
Cumorah McOmber
Cumorah McOmber is a seasoned educator and leader with a decade of experience at American Leadership Academy. With a background in marketing, a degree in Theater Education from BYU Provo, and years of experience teaching visual arts, she brings a dynamic blend of creativity, strategy, and innovation to the Fine Arts Department. As Fine Arts Director, she is committed to elevating arts education, empowering teachers, and shaping a program that fosters excellence, creativity, and real-world success for students. She is dedicated to making ALA’s arts community stronger, more influential, and deeply connected to its mission: Discipline, Excellence, Achievement.

Find Your Creative Path at Queen Creek
Some students know early that music or theatre is going to be part of their life. Others find out because they tried a class they almost did not take. ALA Queen Creek gives students several ways to explore performing arts, whether they want to sing, play an instrument, march, perform, work backstage, or become part of an ensemble.
