ASU prefers that you apply online. VIP/Priority Admission date is November 1, 2016. Complete your application for admission by this date (including official high school transcripts and application fee*) to receive these select benefits: expedited admission and scholarship decisions, priority access to ASU New Student Orientation and housing registration, and exclusive event invites and campus visit offers. Complete your application for admission by November 1, 2016 to ensure you’re considered for the maximum amount of scholarship opportunities. Late applicants will be considered for university admission and financial aid, but ASU programs with higher admission standards will give priority consideration to applications submitted by this date. *If you self-report your grades, you do not need to submit an official transcript to receive your admission decision. An official final transcript will be required before you enroll in classes.

There is a separate application required for the Barrett Honors College. They will also have an early deadline. Students interested in Barrett must first apply to Arizona State University and then may begin the separate Barrett application. Prospective honors college students should be mindful of deadlines and work to ensure that a complete application, not one that is simply submitted, is on file by the appropriate date.

Admission and scholarship award decisions are driven by comprehensive review. Every application may be reviewed by up to two different reviewers before a final decision is made. This process allows us to consider more than a student’s academic profile. Factors such as class rank, strength of curriculum, performance in curriculum, grade point average in required core academic courses, and ACT and/or SAT test scores will be considered.

Students will be offered admission if you have a 3.0 or higher core GPA* and have no deficiencies in the required college preparatory courses. You will be considered for admission if you have a 2.5 core GPA* and have no more than one deficiency in any two areas in the college preparatory courses. Although GCU seeks to integrate Christian faith and practice into all aspects of campus life, no statement of faith or religious affiliation is required of prospective students, with the exception of majors in the College of Theology. Theology majors are required to affirm GCU’s Doctrinal Statement and the College of Theology Covenant.

To be accepted for admission to the Grand Canyon University (GCU) campus or online undergraduate programs, you must submit acceptable high school or college transcripts to meet the admission requirements. If you cannot meet the GPA requirements with your transcripts, but have a test score that meets admissions requirements, you will still be eligible for full admission.

Central Arizona College offers four degrees that allow students to transfer with junior status to the Arizona public universities: Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Business (A.B.), Associate of Science (A.S.), and Associate of Arts Elementary Education (A.A.E.E.). Other degrees and courses may transfer to the university level, but do not guarantee junior status.

CAC Offers High School Outreach Programs

If you would like to get a jump start on earning college credit please consider joining one of the following programs. Please note that each program may have different requirements, application process, and contact information.

• The Early College Program: This program provides high school students an opportunity to get an early start into college by taking courses while still enrolled in high school during the fall and spring semesters. Students must be enrolled in four high school classes to participate in the Early College Program. Spend part of your day at high school and part of your day at a college campus or center. Students that meet the program requirements will receive a scholarship for tuition. Students are responsible for the costs of books, transportation, and class materials.
• The First Step Program: First Step is a summer program for Pinal County high school students who have completed their sophomore, junior, and or senior year of high school. This program allows high school students to enroll in college courses before graduating from high school. Students who enroll in this program may register for up to 5 college credits and receive a tuition waiver (covering in state tuition). Students are responsible for the purchase of textbooks, class materials, and are responsible for their own transportation to and from class.
• Dual Enrollment: High School students may take college classes at their high school as part of their regular high school day. Students are responsible for paying the tuition. Contact your high school guidance counselor for more information about the classes available at your high school.
• Concurrent Enrollment: Concurrent Enrollment is an opportunity for high school students who are academically prepared to earn college credit while still in high school as a Special Admit student. Students are responsible for tuition and fees, the purchase of textbooks, class materials, and for their own transportation to and from one of CAC campuses or centers.

Application and other criteria are needed for admission to High School Outreach Programs offered by Central Arizona College. All students must apply by completing the required admissions and registration forms for classes they wish to participate in.
