What is a Charter School?
Charter schools are educational institutions funded by public money yet function with more flexibility and independence than conventional public schools. Created through a charter—a performance contract that outlines the school's mission, educational programs, objectives, and evaluation methods—they aim to foster innovation and offer a variety of educational opportunities that meet the unique needs of their communities.
