Celebrating the Magic of Books: Read Across America Spirit Week!
Join us for a fun-filled week celebrating reading and creativity from March 3rd to March 7th at American Leadership Academy. Get ready to dress up, show your school spirit, and let your imagination soar with our themed days:
-
Monday – Literacy Character Day:
Dress up as your favorite literary character and bring along the book that inspired your choice! -
Tuesday – Fairy Tale Day:
Embrace the magic of storybook royalty—dress as your favorite prince or princess. Think gowns, tiaras, and top hats! -
Wednesday – Wacky Wednesday:
Turn your outfit upside down, mix and match, or wear it backwards—get creative and have fun, because books come in all designs! -
Thursday – Thing 1/Thing 2 Day:
Partner up with a friend and coordinate your outfits—because two books (and two looks) are always better than one! -
Friday – Historical Figures Day:
Celebrate the leaders of the past! Whether you choose a scientist, explorer, or president, let your outfit inspire a love for reading and learning.
Dress Code Reminders:
- All Spirit Week attire must be knee-length.
- No masks or concealed faces.
- No weapons of any kind.
- No pajamas.
- Outfits must meet ALA standards regarding body coverage—no offensive images or language, and no political/social statements.
- No holes or rips in jeans/pants.
- No sleeveless or spaghetti strap tops.
If these guidelines aren’t followed, your student will be sent to the front office and asked to change. Let’s show our spirit, Guardians—let the adventure begin!
