Fine Arts at ALA West Foothills
Fine Arts at American Leadership Academy West Foothills give students opportunities to create, perform, collaborate, and develop skills that improve through practice.
Every year the elementary campus stages two music concerts and an art show that fills the school with thousands of pieces of student work, one from nearly every student on campus.
The grades 6–12 campus offers visual art, band, orchestra, choir, dance, and theatre, with opportunities ranging from beginning to more advanced work across several disciplines.

Arts, Character, and Graduation
Fine Arts are an active part of a student’s high school graduation plan. ALA West Foothills's current graduation requirements include one credit in CTE/Fine Arts across its diploma pathways.
Beyond the transcript, the arts bring ALA's R.A.I.S.E. values to life. Whether preparing for a rehearsal or supporting an ensemble, students quickly learn that true excellence looks like practice long before it looks like talent.

Creative work is rarely perfect the first time. That is exactly the point. Students rehearse, revise, adjust, and try again. Eventually, something that was difficult becomes something they confidently know how to do.

Some students know early that music or theatre is going to be part of their life. Others find out because they tried a class they almost did not take. ALA West Foothills gives students several ways to explore performing arts, whether they want to sing, play an instrument, march, perform, work backstage, or become part of an ensemble.
