Guiding Principles for going back to school

School Starts Aug. 17th In-Person and Online. 

Per executive order 2020-51, ALA requires face coverings, such as face masks or face shields, for all staff and students over the age of five. Please see our mask policy for exceptions and adaptations.

1. "As Normal as Possible"

Return to school will be as “normal” as possible.
 

2. Individual Responsibility

Parents are ultimately responsible for their child’s health and well-being. We are here to support.

3. Effective Communication

We commit to effectively communicate with you. This website will be our official outlet for COVID-19 news and plans.

4. Adaptable and Nimble

While we can only plan for what we know today, we will be nimble and adaptable as new conditions emerge. 
 

5. Enhanced Sanitation

We have enhanced our sanitation procedures and will continue to invest in new equipment and effective practices to keep our environment safe.
