Letter from the Director

Parents,

I am honored to return as your Director for 17-18 school year! This is my 3rd year as an administrator at the Mesa campus and my 4th year with American Leadership Academy. I am thrilled to be starting my 13th year in education!

It is such a privilege to be part of the ALA family. I came to ALA when my daughter was in 4th grade. At the time, I was looking for something more for my daughter. Knowing that my son would soon be in Kindergarten, I wanted to find a school that not only offered rigorous academics, but an environment where my children felt safe. My family and I have been blessed to find exactly that with American Leadership Academy. We could not be more pleased with what ALA has done for our children and our family.

Let me tell you a little bit about me. My husband, Patrick and I moved to Arizona from Virginia 10 years ago. I graduated with my undergraduate degree from Old Dominion University in Virginia. I taught special education and 5th grade for the majority of my career. In December of 2015, I graduated with my first master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University. I will graduate in May 2018 with my second master's degree, also from ASU, in Educational Leadership. I have 2 kiddos, Jaime and Landon. Jaime is in 7th grade at our Gilbert North 7-12 campus where she loves being a jr. high cheerleader. Landon is in 2nd grade at my campus and loves to build Legos.

I look forward to a continued partnership with you and your children!

Sincerely,

Angi Coleman
