At American Leadership Academy, part of our mission is to provide our students with the best possible educational experience. This goes beyond the classroom. ALA offers…

 

Advanced Placement

American Leadership Academy offers a wide variety of advanced placement courses. These are challenging, college-level courses a high school student can take to earn credits. AP course offerings vary by campus; please view the course catalog for full course descriptions and availability.

Financial Literacy/College Prep Course

Available to 10th grade students, this course is specifically designed to prepare high school students for college and beyond, with opportunities to explore the college and career opportunities available to them.

Using Dave Ramsey’s financial literacy curriculum for high schoolers, this course offers insights that will stick with and benefit students for the rest of their lives.

Honors Courses

We want all ALA students to have every opportunity to excel and thrive. That is why we offer honors courses for students who show exceptional proficiency in certain subjects. Our students also have the opportunity to earn an Honors Diploma during their high school years. Please view the course catalog for full descriptions of honors courses offered. Dual/Concurrent Enrollment

Dual enrollment allows our students to enroll in certain classes offered by local colleges, while still attending ALA. We believe that this allows students the best opportunity for an exceptional education while helping them become fully prepared to pursue whatever path is right for them after graduation. CTE (Career and Technical Education)

CTE course provide students with academic, career, and technical instruction, offering hands-on learning through certified teachers and experienced professionals. This gives them advanced skills, real-world training, and a competitive edge in today’s job market. CTE course offerings vary by campus; please view the course catalog for full course descriptions and availability.

Additional CTE courses are offered through EVIT (the East Valley Institute for Technology). This separate technical school offers training in a variety of industries. ALA/EVIT students split time evenly between their two schools (transportation is not provided).

STEM Honors Program

ALA is proud to offer a STEM honors program, specifically designed to challenge students in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math. Students who wish to participate must meet certain qualifications, including a 3.8 weighted GPA and attendance in summer programs. Graduates of the program receive a STEM Honors Diploma.
