Meet Our Director:

Mrs. Schubert is the Director of the ALA-Gilbert North K-6 campus. She joined ALA-Gilbert in 2012 as an experienced, award-winning elementary teacher, and was promoted to Assistant Director the following year. As Assistant Director from 2013-2015, she helped lead the Gilbert campus to achieve the highest “A” rating in district history. In 2015, she was invited to open ALA's new Ironwood Elementary campus, and served as the Director for two years.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Plymouth State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of California, Davis. Cristina was born into a large Portuguese-American family and was raised in Morgan Hill, CA.

Over 10 years ago, she moved to Arizona with her husband, Charles. They have two sons; Chaz (10) and Liam (5). In addition to her background in education, she is an accomplished dance instructor and published author.
