Meet the Director

Amaris Lewis

Mrs. Lewis is thrilled to be a member of the ALA team! She spent her undergrad years at the University of Colorado where she received her bachelors degree in psychology. Over 16 years later she was called into education and obtained a masters of educational leadership K-12 degree at NAU. As a fifth-grade teacher, she was a master educator whose classroom leaders scored some of the highest scores in the district and state. Mrs. Lewis’ approach to students, families, community, and colleagues is to love and build confidence to succeed. She spent 16 years as a stay-at-home mom, and the experience prepared her to have a fulfilling career in educational leadership and beyond. Mrs. Lewis is originally from Los Angeles, California, she and her husband have five children that keep them on their toes. She is a former Big 12 champ, Jr World record holder, that was recently broken in track and field. Her family has lived all over the country, but the beautiful weather and sunshine brought them back to Arizona! Mrs. Lewis is enthusiastic about leading one of the best campuses in the state of Arizona to continued success. She promises to lead with love and compassion.
