Topic 5 - COVID Health Toolkit
Mrs. Plowman is the Director of the ALA-Gilbert North K-6 campus. She has worked with children and families throughout her entire career and brings her broad educational background to lead ALA-GNE. She holds a bachelor's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Brigham Young University and has provided speech and language services to children in both the public school and private settings in the US and in Asia. She taught high school seminary for four years, leading the adaptive needs class.
She also brings entrepreneurial and business expertise, having created and managed several successful businesses.
A third-generation Phoenician, she grew up in Central Phoenix. GIlbert has been her home since 2001. She has also lived in Shanghai, China.
Her first love is her family. She and her husband, Bob, have 4 children: Sarah, who was in the first graduating class at ALA-GNHS, Carter, Joseph and William, who all are ALA Eagles. In addition to her background in education and business, she is an accomplished baker and finds joy in event planning.
