Registration is open for select sports for 2021-2022!
Intramural Sports is a coed sports program offered at all ALA elementary schools for students grades 1st-6th. ALA students will participate in team sport competitions against other ALA elementary schools each season. Each sport/season costs $75/student.
We will offer a variety of sports including basketball, track & field, flag football, volleyball and soccer. These sports provide a great opportunity for physical activity while promoting wellness, healthy competition and friendship. Sign up your athlete today! We are excited to inform you that registration is NOW OPEN for the ALA CO-ED Intramural 1st-6th grade FLAG FOOTBALL season! Practices will start the week of January 31st.
Teams will be 1st-3rd grade combined, and 4th-6th grade combined all co-ed
Football season will have two practices per week that will run approximately one hour in length. Days and Times will also be determined per location on the availability of the coach for that team.
All Games will be played at the ALA High Schools to utilize the turf fields. All Games will be played Saturday mornings as shown below. We will have up to 4 games running at a time. A more solidified game schedule will be sent out to all those who are registered after the close of registration. Ideally games would start at 9:00am and we would start new games on the hour until all teams have played that day.

NO Practices the week of March 14th-20th, (Spring Break). No games on the March 12th or March 19th as many will be gone traveling for the break.
One of American Leadership Academy’s more popular intramural team sports, flag football is all about building athletic skill and knowledge of the game. Less physically risky than tackle football, flag football gives students a chance to try their hand at football in a more relaxed setting. Though flag football can be intimidating for younger students, we see it as a great way to help them build some confidence and experience what it feels like to really be part of a team. Flag football is also a game that’s full of planning and strategy, making it a great workout for the mind, as well as the body. And with a program that’s focused as much on fun and sportsmanship as it is on competition, our students all walk off the field as winners. Touchdown!
*Intramural flag football is open to 1st through 6th grade students.

Teams will be 5th and 6th grade combined co-ed
Volleyball season will have two practices per week that will run approximately one hour in length. Days and Times will also be determined per location on the availability of the coach for that team.
All Games will be played at the ALA Elementary schools capable of having volleyball nets set up. Games will be played during the week, most likely Tuesday evenings at 5:30 pm. (Times and Days determined by team number and coaches) A more solidified game schedule will be sent out to all those who are registered after the close of registration.

Practice locations will be determined by the number of participants at each location and if we must combine schools. If we have enough participants at a school, then practices will be held at that school so less traveling is hopefully involved. This will be determined closer to the start of the season-opening as registration has to finalize and teams split before we can determine final locations for each team.
THE FINAL DAY TO REGISTER IS January 14th at 4:00 PM
All elementary schools can be found under "ALA" or “American Leadership Academy” in the registermyathlete search bar. Please try typing the full name of the school and register for the correct school.
MUST BE REGISTERED TO PARTICIPATE AND MUST ATTEND ALA TO PARTICIPATE
- The $75 fee includes all practices, games, and a T-Shirt and helps to pay coaches and officials for their time in helping our teams.
- The fee will be assessed on infinite campus after students participate in a practice and coaches take roll.
- It will be made clear to coaches that everyone gets to play each game. These sports at the intramural level are to help students understand the basic skills and rules of the games and to enjoy athletics with their peers.
WE NEED COACHES at all of our campuses! We have had routinely over 200 students on average for our elementary seasons.
- Coaches will be required whether you are the main coach or a volunteer to have an IVP Clearance Card. The directions for this can be found on our ALA Intramural Website
- Head Coaches will be compensated, all assistant coaches are on a volunteer basis.
