American Leadership Academy Mesa North is a tuition-free Pre-K-12 public charter school, opening in Mesa, Arizona in the Fall of 2024. We are a Pre-K-12 school that is committed to preparing students for success in college, career, and life.

Our school is built on a foundation of academic excellence and character development. At ALA Mesa North, students will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of academic programs, sports, fine arts, extracurriculars, and specialty programs. We are also committed to providing our students with a moral and wholesome environment where they can thrive.

New Charter School Coming to North Mesa

We are excited to announce the opening of American Leadership Academy Mesa North , a tuition-free public charter school opening in Mesa, AZ in the Fall of 2024. We are eager to serve the families in this community and provide them with a choice in education. ALA Mesa North will open in the Fall of 2024 with grades Pre-K-12

Meet the Directors

Deena LeBio (PreK-6 Director)

Mrs. Deena LeBio has been in the field of education for over 20 years. She began her career in various roles, working with children in preschool through 8th grade in California. In 2015, she moved to Arizona, where she helped open the ALA Ironwood campus as a second-grade teacher. In 2017, she went on to help open the ALA Gilbert North campus and served as a third-grade lead teacher and professional development leader. In 2020, Mrs. LeBio joined the ALA Mesa campus as an Assistant Director and then Director. Mrs. LeBio received her undergraduate degree in education from California State University, Northridge. In 2019, she received her master’s degree in educational studies from Western Governors University. Mrs. LeBio lives in Gilbert with her husband, Paul, and daughter, Daisy, who attends ALA! She enjoys going on adventures, reading, and creating!

Casey Eagleburger (7-12 Director)

Mr. Eagleburger begins his first year with ALA and is excited to be part of the opening of ALA Mesa North.  He has been a lifelong educator in the East Valley, serving as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, athletic director, junior high and high school principal, and assistant superintendent.  He is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a bachelor's in History Education and a Master's in Educational Leadership. Mr. Eagleburger also holds a superintendent certificate from Northern Arizona University.  He is married with two boys, all living in Mesa.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, participating in many outdoor recreational activities, and vacationing in Montana in the winters and summers. Mr. Eagleburger is excited to join ALA Mesa North and help build a successful experience for students, parents, faculty, and the community of Mesa for years to come.
