Home of the Warriors
Welcome to American Leadership Academy, one of the premier Charlotte charter schools in North Carolina. We are proud to offer an exceptional educational experience to students in the Charlotte area. Our school focuses on nurturing the whole child within a safe, academically challenging, and moral environment. Guided by our R.A.I.S.E. values—Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Service, and Excellence—we are dedicated to developing leaders who will make a positive impact in their community and beyond.
What is a Charter School?
Charter schools are publicly funded educational entities that enjoy more flexibility and autonomy than traditional public schools. Founded through a charter—a performance agreement specifying the school's mission, programs, goals, and assessment strategies—they aim to foster innovation and provide diverse educational opportunities suited to their communities' specific needs.

Carmi Green, Director
Hello ALA Charlotte Family.
My name is Carmi Green. I am a native of North Carolina. I received my Bachelor's from Pfeiffer University in Human Services with a concentration in Child Development. In 2017, I received my Masters in Education. I have served in education for over ten years. While working in education I have served in various roles from teaching, MTSS, beginning teacher training, and special education. I am working on my second master's degree in Educational Leadership.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my daughter and my family. I enjoy baking, going to church, and shopping. I am very excited to be a part of the American Leadership Academy family!
