ALA Coastal 4th Grade Field Trip Fun!

4th Grade Field Trip to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Center!

Our 4th graders had an unforgettable experience visiting the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Center! They got up close with rescued sea turtles and learned all about their journey from injury to recovery. The students had a hands-on experience, discovering how veterinarians and volunteers care for these amazing creatures.

Some highlights from the trip:

• Learning about the different species of sea turtles and why they need protection
• Seeing the rehabilitation tanks where turtles recover before being released back into the ocean
• Understanding the dangers turtles face, like pollution and boat strikes, and how we can help

This trip was not only educational but also inspiring! Our students walked away with a new appreciation for marine life and the importance of conservation.
