Home of the Patriots
Welcome to ALA Johnston 6-12—proudly serving junior high and high school students in the Clayton area! Our mission is to deliver an exceptional educational experience that nurtures the whole child in a safe, academically challenging, and supportive environment. Rooted in our R.A.I.S.E. values—Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Service, and Excellence—we foster a moral and wholesome setting where students can excel and develop as leaders both in and out of the classroom.
What is a Charter School?
Operating under a performance contract called a charter—which specifies mission, curriculum, goals, and assessment methods—charter schools are publicly funded institutions with greater autonomy than conventional public schools. They are designed to promote innovation and provide diverse educational options suited to the specific needs of the communities they serve.
