Welcome to American Leadership Academy Monroe PreK-8, a public charter school serving families in Monroe, NC. At ALA Monroe, we provide a high-quality educational experience for students from preschool through 8th grade, fostering academic excellence, leadership development, and strong moral character.

Little Leaders Preschool Program
Our Little Leaders preschool program provides a safe, nurturing environment where young children develop essential academic, social, and motor skills. Through a play-based and values-driven curriculum, our Little Leaders begin their educational journey with a strong foundation that sets them up for success as they transition into elementary school.

Glenn Way, Founder of American Leadership Academy
Spotting a crisis in conventional schooling, Glenn Way pioneered American Leadership Academy. He approached K-12 education with the belief that moral context should be taught alongside equations and reading lists.
