Summer Mini Camps at Gilbert South

 

Due to recent guidelines sent out by the governor, we have decided it is best to cancel our upcoming summer camp to ensure the health and safety of our campers and staff. All refunds were processed today and will be refunded in 5-7 business days.

Future Engineers Camp (grades 4-6)  Instructor: Mrs. Danielle Edges (ALA- Gilbert North)

Session Dates: June 16-18, July 7-9  | Time: 9am-12pm | Cost: $50 (per student/per week)*

Join us for a STEMazing camp full of developing skills in the fields of STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics. Campers will be challenged to build their engineering skills using technology. Campers will be required to think outside of the box and use engineering design principles to solve problems. Join us for a camp full of developing 21st century skills! Activities & Challenges Include - Marble Run Challenge, Scratch Video Game Coding, Makey Makey Piano & MUCH MORE!!

Join us for a STEMazing camp full of developing skills in the fields of STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics. Campers will be challenged to build their skills in engineering with literacy & scientific discovery. Come join us for a camp full of exploration & fun! Activities & Challenges Include - Build A Boat, Marshmallow & Toothpick structures, Ozobot Race Tracks, Makey Makey Piano & MUCH MORE!


 

Science Experiment Camp (grades 2-4)  Instructor: Ms. Amber Gaylord (ALA- Gilbert South)

Session Dates: June 23-25, July 14-16  | Time: 2pm-3pm | Cost: $30 (per student/per week)*

Calling on 2nd through 4th grade scientists!  Come spend 3 days full of hands on Science Experiments!  Get your hands messy while making SLIME, making volcanoes erupt, and building catapults.  As any good Scientist, learn how to make a hypothesis, test your predictions, and to log your findings.  


 

Pint Size Picasso- Arts & Crafts Camp (grades K-3)  Instructor: Mrs. Mary Fort (ALA- Gilbert South)

Session Dates: June 16-18, July 7-9  | Time: 12:30pm-1:30pm | Cost: $30 (per student/per week)*

Summer is in full swing!  Join us for fun, interactive art sessions.  Unleash your child’s inner artist!  We encourage creativity, confidence & development of new skills.  Kids can explore drawing, painting, sculpting, and more.  We will have fun and get saturated in color as they brush, flick, splatter, sponge and paint.  Activities to include craft stick picture frames, windsocks, paper crafts, homemade playdough, puppets, bubble painting or suncatchers.  A multitude of crafts will be packed into your kiddos time at camp!


 

Paint & Create (grades 4-6)  Instructor: Mrs. Mary Fort (ALA- Gilbert South)

Session Dates: June 16-18, July 7-9  | Time: 2pm-3pm | Cost: $30 (per student/per week)*

Tween activities may include tie-dyeing, jewelry making, painting, cool coasters, washi tape bracelets, art rocks or string art.  A multitude of crafts will be packed into your kiddos time at camp!

 

Vision Board Workshop (grades 3-6)  Instructor: Mrs. Mary Fort (ALA- Gilbert South)

Join us in a fun and interactive way to begin goal setting with my Vision Board Workshop!  Goal setting is an important life skill that is never too early to start developing.  Learning to set goals teaches children to take responsibility for themselves.  These goals could include Academics, Behavior, Family, Social Life, Health, and College.  Goal setting also builds self-confidence, helps to exercise creativity, and encourages trying new things.  When children reach their goals, they learn to believe in their abilities and are more likely to set new goals for themselves in the future.  This vision board workshop will help the child in your life start their goal setting journey with ease and FUN! 

 

Intro to Drawing (grades K-2 and 3-6)  Instructor: Mrs. Lisa Lawrence (ALA- Gilbert South)

If drawing or doodling is your thing, this Intro to Drawing camp offers fun, learning, and oodles of doodles!  Beginning lessons include line drawing, contour drawing, and shading. All the lessons include step-by-step instructions and examples. Some lessons also include video tutorials.  During this class we will draw everything from cartoon or movie characters to flowers, animals and more.  Just bring your favorite pencil and let’s have some fun learning to draw together, and making new friends!
