This week, we’re thrilled to recognize Mrs. Pressley, who teaches Chemistry, Physics, and AP Computer Science for Grades 10-12 at ALA Lexington! Mrs. Pressley loves the student interactions and especially enjoys witnessing the light bulb moment when students truly understand the concepts.
Her favorite piece of advice? "We learn more when we fail or struggle to attain a measure of success, so always take your failures as a learning opportunity. Success only comes before work in the dictionary!"
Fun fact: Mrs. Pressley grew up in the SC low country as the only daughter of 4 children. She became a licensed scuba diver in 1994 and continues to enjoy swimming and diving. She’s also a passionate reader and writer and hopes to publish her first novel next year!
