Dr. Sherri Herbst is honored to serve as the Lower School Director of the ALA Lexington campus. She is committed to partnering with families to provide the best educational experience to as many students as possible in a moral and wholesome environment. She also values the trust families put in ALA Lexington to care for their children. She believes that a nurturing school community that values respect, accountability, integrity, service, and excellence, will provide children with the best possible environment for learning and growing.
Dr. Herbst holds a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Education Administration from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Education in Educational Studies from Rivier University, and a Bachelor of Science in Spanish Education from Plymouth State University. She has served as an educator, charter school leader, and charter school authorizer.
When she is not on campus, Dr. Herbst enjoys spending time with her husband and family and running the Lake Murray Dam. Dr. Herbst and the American Leadership Academy Lower School staff are excited to be part of a campus that values leadership and patriotism. They are excited to watch the Lower School Patriots learn, lead, and change the world!
